We are a small second generation citrus farm, and have branched out into Hass avocado production. We have been growing avocados for approx. 27 years, and the citrus trees are about 45+ years old. We have 4 beautiful spring fed dams on the property and our farm is also home to a small beef cattle herd, some geese and chickens.
We're about 13.5km from the intersection of the Central Coast Highway and Wisemans Ferry Rd at Kariong. We have approximately 2000 Hass avocado trees and about the same in a mix of Navel and Valencia oranges. Our peak production periods for avocadoes are from October through to January, Navel (winter) oranges are available from June until September and Valencia (summer) oranges are available from October/November.

We are closed for picking mandarins for 2020 season. We will reopen in June and will commence taking bookings in late May 2021.
Ford’s Farm is a Pick Your Own citrus orchard specialising in Mandarins. Our first mandarin of the season is the Satsuma, a seedless variety, easy to peel, full of juice and very popular with children. This year we have a smaller crop of both Satsumas and Imperials because of the drought.
Ford’s Farm is nestled on the banks of the Hawkesbury River, 15 minutes from Wiseman’s Ferry. The citrus orchard was established over 50 years ago by the Ford family (some original trees still produce fruit – the Emperor Mandarins). It has been a Pick Your Own orchard for over 17 years and has developed with help from our customers.
We look forward to welcoming visitors in June each year to pick mandarins, oranges, lemons, limes. We close once all mandarins have been picked and re-open in July for cumquats. Unfortunately we cannot allow any picnics in the orchard this year.
Visit our “shed” for jams, chutney, cordial and honey all from produce grown on the farm. The honey is different every year as the bees forage on whatever is available at the time. It is pure with no additives in the honey.
PLEASE NOTE: We are limited as to the number of people allowed on the property at any one time due to Covid19 regulations so please be patient if you are unable to enter the farm. All visitors must book online on our website and follow the social distancing regulations. If you have not booked or are ill you will not be allowed to enter.
Pick-your-own in season by appointment - please call to arrange your visit - 10am to 3pm
People tell us we have the best oranges they have ever eaten. Is it the chicken manure or the fact we don’t use chemical sprays on the trees? Could be a combination of the two, however we thought we would share the experience with others.
Visit the Wilson’s Wyuna Farms, hear about the history of this fourth generational farm and how it has evolved since Lorraine’s father, Ray Walpole, settled here in 1935, aged 15. Or just chat with Rodger, Lorraine, Greg or Kate and pick your own oranges to take home.
Bus tours or group bookings available – prior booking essential via phone or email.
By appointment only
CLOSED until new season in March 2021
Kathleen Groves Farm was established in the 1930’s by the Floyd family. William and Kathleen Floyd were the first generation to farm the land, mainly with citrus crops – oranges, lemons, limes and mandarins etc. The farm is now owned and operated by the third generation of Floyds and it mainly produces eureka lemons which are sold to Sydney markets and local retailers.
Kathleen Groves Farm is now opening to the public for the first time in its rich 90 year history. We look forward to greeting you at the farm gate!!
