Ford’s Farm is a Pick Your Own citrus orchard specialising in Mandarins. Our first mandarin of the season is the Satsuma, a seedless variety, easy to peel, full of juice and very popular with children. This year there is a smaller crop, but still plenty to pick. The Imperials will also be ready, but improve the longer left on the tree and will be at their best in June.
Ford’s Farm is nestled on the banks of the Hawkesbury River, 15 minutes from Wiseman’s Ferry. The citrus orchard was established over 50 years ago by the Ford family (some original trees still produce fruit – the Emperor Mandarins). It has been a Pick Your Own orchard for over 14 years and has developed with help from our customers.
We will re-open late May 2018 every weekend and public holidays from 10am to 4pm until all the fruit has gone.
Unfortunately due to heavy traffic in the area and the condition of the roads we can no longer cater for large coaches. Small buses are welcome on weekends as long as a booking is made.
We cater for International Tour Groups who wish to visit the farm for educational purposes outside the season. Phone for more information on these tours.
We look forward to welcoming visitors to pick mandarins, oranges, lemons, limes and in July cumquats.
There is an entry fee of $5.00 per car, thereafter you only pay for what you pick, we charge by the kg.
We have a picnic area set aside for you to sit and enjoy the quiet bush surroundings. Take a stroll through the orchard to visit and feed our sheep once you have had your picnic.
Visit our “shed” for jams, chutney, cordial and honey all from produce grown on the farm. The year we have infused vinegars and infused oils such as garlic, chilli and rosemary, along with infused salts and sugars for the adventurous cook.

Established in 1965, Warrah Biodynamic Farm at Dural grows a wide range of certified biodynamic/organic seasonal produce, picked daily for sale in our Farm Shop. The shop is open 6 days a week and also sells certified organic meat, dairy and groceries from other local producers. We are a 45 minute drive from the Sydney CBD.
Warrah Biodynamic Farm has been certified biodynamic since 1993. The farm is part of the Warrah Society, a registered charity providing services to adults and children with disabilities in Sydney’s North West. The farm sits on around 7 acres at Dural, with the market garden comprising around 2 acres of production at any given time. The remaining land is used for crop rotation and grazing our two Jersey cows, Elka and Frangipani. We produce all the seedlings for the farm and a wide range of seasonal vegetable and herb seedlings for sale to the general public from our onsite production nursery.
The farm follows strict guidelines to ensure that all our produce is certified biodynamic with Australian Certified Organic (ACO). We do not use any pesticides, herbicides, fungicides or synthetic fertilisers. Our fields are picked daily to ensure that we have the freshest possible produce available in our onsite Farm Shop.
We grow a wide range of seasonal produce for sale in our Farm Shop with supplementary fresh produce, meat, dairy and groceries provided by other certified organic producers. We endeavour to stock items that are from boutique producers. The shop proudly stocks only certified organic or biodynamic produce from a range of producers throughout Australia and overseas ensuring that you can find everything you need in one place.

As you sip your coffee you will drawn by the perfumes of the many freshly cut blooms as the flower stalls arrange a vast array of colours and species to suit all occasions.
As you do the rounds it's hard not to be drawn to the amazing variety of fresh herbs and spices available. The crispy baby rockets, extra virgin olive oils, sun dried tomatoes and Darling Mills amazing array of olives and fresh basil.
Willowbrae cheesemaker Karen Borg uses a traditional French farmhouse method to produce a variety of goats cheese sold at the markets by her husband David.
Crunchy sourdough breads, traditional pasta's even the staple family meals like bangers and mash can be accommodated.
The fantastic array of gourmet European sausages and the variety of old fashioned Irish spuds will turn a staple Aussie meal into a Chef's delight !
Enjoy browsing through the stalls of fresh fruit and veges, freshly picked berries, crunchy greens, vine ripened tomatoes, stone fruit and our famous Bilpin apples - even an apple pie or two !
Whilst doing that final once around stopping to pick up some exotic Australian Native Foods, yum, Wild Hibiscus flowers in syrup, Desert Quandong jam or some Lemon Myrtle and Native Pepper berry seasoning a must for any good foodies pantry.

Glenbernie Orchard is located within the beautiful Illawarra mountain escarpment, approximately 30kms north of Wollongong in NSW. The new Dharrawal National Park created in 2012 is the farm's closest neighbour.
Ted and Ellen Fahey began the farm in 1939 making a living from selling their home grown eggs and vegetables.
Their son Edward Fahey (Ted Jnr) planted the first apple tree in 1952. Ted Jnr continued to grow the business assisted by his wife Ruth. The family purchased additional land in the 1980's bringing the total possible planting area to around 100 acres. The land is very fertile with a climate suited to growing a variety of fruit and vegetables. Ted and Ruth’s eldest son, Glenn, now manages the farm producing apples, peaches, nectarines, plums, apricots and persimmons.
The farm’s retail shop, the ‘Apple Shack’ is located on the farm. You can visit the farm to buy fresh fruit and seasonal produce,Apple cider, apple cider vinegar, jams, preserves and honey 7 days a week.
Apples are sold year round including varieties such as Royal Gala, Jonathan, Red Delicious, Fuji, Granny Smith and Pink Lady.
Peaches, nectarines and other stone fruits are available from November to February.
Persimmons are not available this year.

Wildwood is a garden in Bilpin which has been developing for more than 30 years due to the efforts & skills of Wayne & Sue Tapping who bought the land in the early eighties.
They chose the name Wildwood as their plan was to make a formal garden without losing the wildness of the native landscape. They have decided that the property has now got to the stage that it should be available for everyone to appreciate.
Situated in the heart of Bilpin amid the orchards & tall trees of the Blue Mountains it is a large garden many would love to explore.
It is not just a place to wander in and enjoy the plantings as it has a café with fabulous views, a gift shop & specialist nursery with treasures propogated from plants in the garden.
There is a cherry walk, dogwoods & other blossom trees, camellias, azaleas, massed clivia, & hellebore, hydrangea, deciduous trees that are spectacular in autumn & ferns that surround a magnificent waterfall with ponds.
There is also a large lake surrounded by lawns & topiary where you can picnic. It has sweeping views, deep volcanic soil, bore water & is a delightful place to visit at any time of year.
They began this garden more than 30 years ago & also opened a retail nursery at nearby North Richmond. The Nursery closed in 2010, allowing the couple to pursue their dream of an open garden with gift shop, nursery & café.
This 5 hectare garden nestles among 10ha of towering native trees. It is set on a gentle slope with broad, crushed granite paths that meander beside a waterfall & ponds then beneath the trees & across sweeping lawns to a tranquil lake. Seats are scattered throughout to encourage visitors to relax & enjoy the atmosphere.
Wildwood’s café serve morning & afternoon teas, snacks & light lunches with delicious sandwiches, salads, cakes, pastries & season specials. There is a selection of homemade goodies which are scrumptious but be sure not to miss out on the Wildwood’s very own homemade apple pie – it is just so delicious. Enjoy a panoramic view over the garden from the café verandah. Visitors are also welcome to picnic by the lake.
The Gift shop and nursery is well stocked with appealing gift ware & local products. The nursery has a range of plants, many of which are propagated from those which are growing in the garden including some rare & unusual finds. You are sure to find something special here

Stone fruit PYO is all of November, December and early January so we will remain open 7 days during all harvests.
We have, honey, jam and chutney all year round and we offer school excursions and tours all year on bee keeping, farm practices and sustainable farming. We offer function bookings and hosted birthday parties.
Our main produce is nectarines but we also grow plums and peaches.
We currently offer pick your own nectarines,plums, peaches and tomatoes.
Blueberries from November 2018, citrus from 2019, persimmon from 2019, apples from 2020.
We will let you know as each type of Fruit comes into season, so keep in touch. We start with peaches and nectarines late October, we will have plums around the 20th of November. They are yellow flesh candy plums and our Lewis blood plums come in over Christmas/new year. Please keep up to date as the weather will cause variations in timing.
We will also offer farm tours so you can see how it all happens.
We want you to come and experience the aroma of the fruit and enjoy the background of where it comes from.
We have a stall on the property where we sell our fresh produce and our own honey, jams and chutney. We also have a cafe for lunch and coffee, icecreams and drinks also available. Come and relax, bring a picnic along if you like.
