The Silos Restaurant is located on the NSW South Coast, at the Silos Estate vineyards just on the outskirts of picturesque Berry. Nestled amidst the rolling hills of the local vineyard, Silos takes its name from the 80 year old grain silos included in the property, one of which houses the wine cellar. The award winning Silos Restaurant under Manager Robert Salmon demonstrates country cuisine of the highest calibre. The venue is also perfect for functions. The outlook and restaurant, combined with the beautiful grounds and accommodation, provide an ideal special occasion venue – whether that be a country wedding, corporate event or simply a gathering for friends and family.

Choose from the spaciousness of a Spa Suite or a cosy Sitting Room Suite (each with a private verandah where you can enjoy the vista of the vineyard and escarpment) or the ‘Vines’ – the fully restored original farmhouse that offers views to the lower vineyards and escarpment. All rooms come with breakfast supplies for the duration of your stay. Please note that in accordance with Federal and State laws Silos Estate is smoke free. Pets and children are welcome by prior arrangement and we ask that you respect the privacy and amenity of our other guests

Situated just two hours south of Sydney and 2.5 hours from Canberra, Silos Estate on the South Coast of NSW is the perfect venue for your next small conference, event or meeting. We offer a small group conference or residential conference venue with a 12 seat Board Room fully equipped with the latest audio visual equipment; secure internet access; break out spaces etc. And once the work is over, there of course is wine and cheese tasting and award winning dining to be enjoyed.

Our picturesque 9 hole course lines the banks of the Hawkesbury and must be one of the prettiest courses in NSW and it has the advantage of being an easy walk. It is a course that can be enjoyed by all standards of golfer.

But it also has its challenges and is regularly used for competitions. The tree-lined fairways place a premium on accuracy and the alternative tees provide an extra challenge for the back 9. Our staff will be pleased to help you with club hire and buggy hire.

We also have 2 floodlit, all-weather tennis courts so you can play at any time. The 25m saltwater swimming pool is another favourite and the toddlers' pool is ideal for the youngsters.

Other facilities include:

* Beach volleyball - not quite Bondi, but just as much fun
* Croquet - the sometimes not so genteel sport on the Retreat's Village Green
* Blaxland Massage and Beauty Salon - to really indulge yourself
* Exercise room - for the early morning workout
* Games room - with pool, table tennis and darts for the late night workout!

Or you can relax in the beautiful gardens with a good book or pamper yourself with a massage.

There really is so much to see and do in the area. Not a lot of tourist antique shops but beautiful scenery and many examples of the early European settlement of Australia.

You can explore the region:

* Afloat - on a conducted kayak tour, or you can learn to water ski or wakeboard for the adventurous - or you can hire a cabin cruiser for a more leisurely experience
* On 4 wheels - on a conducted 4WD tour of the local National Parks - or we can provide a map of the local pubs and wineries for the really adventurous
* On 3 wheels - on a Harley Davidson trike for the seriously adventurous
* On foot - with local guides go bushwalking and discover some of Australia's early settlement

Riverbend Restaurant

Dining in the Riverbend Restaurant will be one of the highlights of your stay. Our award-winning chefs are just waiting to indulge you.

We have long had a policy of offering a different, but limited, menu each evening. This means that you will always enjoy the freshest, seasonal food available.

We are commited to using local produce where available.

To complement your food we offer an interesting, but affordable, wine list of mostly Australian wines. Some you will recognise, others may not be so familiar - but they have been carefully chosen to maintain our desire for excellence.

Whether it is a intimate dinner for two, a relaxing lunch or a formal dinner for 100 we are able to design a menu that will ensure that it will be an event to remember.
